VIMA MUSIC-MAKING DAY IN LIVERPOOL ON
SATURDAY, 21 JULY 2007

Six of us met at the Bradbury Centre for our Music-Making Day. Basil and Dorothy Frost were there, Pat Farrelly, Peter Wilkins, Sid Wilson and myself. We received apologies from Geoffrey and Josephine Jackson, Julie and Pat Rodaway, John Savage and Joan Coventon.

The lounge where we meet at the Bradbury Centre lends itself admirably to complete relaxation, so following our journeys, we didn't exactly get down to the business of making music straight away. Even when Sid did make a move towards the piano, Pat, Peter and I were perfectly content to let Sid, Dorothy and Basil get on with it whilst we got on with relaxing.

Jean Collins, a volunteer at the Centre, fetched a delicious fish-and-chip lunch for us, and made endless cups of tea and coffee for us.

In the afternoon Jim Moran, who runs things at the Centre, came in specially with his guitar to regale us with many fine songs, and these, together with the many delights that we'd heard from the others, made the day really splendid.

Jean and Jim received our grateful thanks over and over again, until the taxis came for our journey home Our grateful thanks must also go to Sid Wilson for making this day possible for us.
